CKS College Southmont Campus Celebrates Mid-Autumn and Family Day: A Day of Togetherness, Learning, and Joy

CKS College Southmont Campus students, families, and faculty celebrate Mid-Autumn and Family Day with cultural activities, bonding moments, and joyful community interactions.

CKS College Southmont Campus celebrated its much-awaited Mid-Autumn and Family Day on September 15, filling the campus with warmth, laughter, and a spirit of community. The event brought together students, parents, and teachers in a festive atmosphere that highlighted Chinese culture and family bonding.

One of the day’s most anticipated activities was the mooncake baking session, where parents joined their children in making the traditional delicacy. The delightful aroma of freshly baked mooncakes filled the air as families worked side by side, sharing stories and smiles. Parents later had the chance to taste their own creations, adding a sweet touch to the celebration.

The students showcased their creativity and talent through a lantern parade and performances of Chinese songs and dances inspired by the themes of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the moon. The traditional tea ceremony followed, giving everyone a glimpse into the elegance and symbolism of this age-old Chinese custom.

The celebration concluded with the lively and much-loved Mid-Autumn Dice Game, where children joyfully competed for prizes and brought home gifts as lasting mementos of the day. Adding to the festive experience, a book fair was also held, allowing both kids and parents to explore and purchase books that support learning and a love for reading.

The event truly embodied the essence of togetherness, learning, and enjoyment—values that define the CKS Southmont community. Through cultural appreciation and family engagement, the celebration strengthened the bond among students, parents, and the school, living up to the spirit of being “One CKS Southmont Family.”
